Students Share Concerns That AI Is Weakening Their Study Abilities, Investigation Finds

According to recent research, learners are voicing fears that employing artificial intelligence is eroding their capacity to engage academically. A significant number complain it makes schoolwork “too easy”, while a portion argue it limits their original thinking and prevents them from learning additional competencies.

Broad Usage of Artificial Intelligence Among Pupils

A study focused on the usage of AI in British schools revealed that only 2% of learners between the ages of 13 and 18 reported they did not use artificial intelligence for their academic tasks, while four-fifths indicated they regularly utilized it.

Negative Effect on Skills

Regardless of AI’s prevalence, 62% of the learners stated it has had a adverse effect on their competencies and growth at their educational institution. One in four of the participants affirmed that artificial intelligence “facilitates accessing solutions without independent work”.
