Two Men Accused for Prison Murder of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins

Two men have been formally charged with murder following the jailhouse death of ex-Lostprophets frontman and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 now face murder accusations and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to law enforcement officials.

Watkins, 48 years old, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after admitting a string of sex offences among them the tried rape of a very young child.

Watkins was arrested after the execution of a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were taken as evidence.
